A Restored Region.
The origin of 1-Kingdom Big Country is rooted in a collective vision held by local spiritual leaders: that the Lord has a unique destiny for the Church in this territory.
Starting nearly two decades ago, a diverse assembly of ministry leaders began seeking God in prayer. Representing numerous denominations, they were bonded by a singular devotion to Christ and a shared passion for the Big Country. They recognized that God’s purpose for our area exceeded the reach of any individual congregation.
That foundational truth birthed 1-Kingdom Big Country. These pioneers knew that communal spiritual health relies on the strength of the bonds between its shepherds. Through consistent prayer, genuine friendships emerged. Confidence grew, churches supported one another, and leaders realized that we are far more effective for the Gospel when we stand together.
Why We Exist
1-Kingdom Big Country exists to help build a culture of unity throughout Abilene and the surrounding region. We create opportunities for pastors and ministry leaders to pray together, develop genuine relationships, encourage one another, and participate in intentional mission. Our shared faith in Jesus Christ remains at the center of everything we do. Our call is to devote ourselves to prayer for our community and nation. The Early Church’s devotion to prayer brought them to a place of unity and common purpose. Acts 1:14, “These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer.”
We seek to avoid disunity, competition, and jealousy that have weakened the Body of Christ. They isolate leaders, divide churches, and limit our ability to serve our community with the strength and love of Jesus.

To see the Big Country living in revival, where the presence of God is so tangible that even those driving through our region are impacted by it.
A Region Prepared for Revival
We envision churches strengthened, pastors refreshed,
families restored, communities transformed, and people
encountering the presence of God throughout the Big Country.
We believe revival will touch sanctuaries, homes, schools, businesses, government offices, and every sphere of community life. As the Church grows together in prayer and relationship, we are preparing the spiritual atmosphere of our region for a lasting move of God.
This story began with pastors gathering to pray, and it continues every time another leader chooses relationship, another church embraces unity, and another believer joins the mission.
The story of 1-Kingdom Big Country is still being written. Together, we are believing for a united Church, a transformed region, and a move of God that will mark the Big Country for generations.
